Augusta Eats Local at Finch and Fifth

Augusta Eats Local at Finch and Fifth

Jul 17, 2016 | Augusta Eats Local

“WE LOVE THAT PLACE,” is the common refrain whenever a local talks about Finch & Fifth.

Invariably this pledge of endearment is followed by another: “The service is absolutely wonderful.”

Fifth and Finch is hands-down, up-scale fun. Diners are brought into the creative process from the get-go, encouraged “to construct their own shareable charcuterie boards by adding anything from artisan cheeses and dry-cured olives to pickled cherry peppers and pâté that is made in-house.”

The owners are committed to the freshest ingredients and by that they mean as local as possible. They currently source veggies from East Georgia Produce and lamb from a farm in Thomson, GA. Moreover, they are now building their own greenhouse to grow microgreens and lettuces.

Our “Augusts Eats Local” committee – DJ & Audrey, Amy & Patrick – had more than their fair share of fun at this Augusta full-bar establishment in Surrey Center. They forgot to bring the window decal award the first time, so they HAD to go back to eat again, a few nights later.

“Forgot?” I smiled. Lol.
