Grillin’ N Chillin’

Grillin’ N Chillin’

Sep 21, 2016Just for Fun

Welcome to the first edition of Grillin’ n Chillin’, where we’ll celebrate our great local food blended with the joy of the grill.  We are privileged in the CSRA to have an organization like Augusta Locally Grown that brings together people, fresh food and wonderful farms.

I first learned about grilling from my father, who had one of the original Green Eggs. (Oh, and back then it wasn’t green.) From there,  I kept learning from my brothers who had the joy of grilling.  When I went to college, my friends and I would throw our choice of meat on for a college football tailgate. I have continued to enjoy the relaxation of grilling a good meal.

Not long after moving to Augusta, my wife found Tink’s Grassfed Beef and then Augusta Locally Grown.  On days she was unable to go get our order, I would pick up and, of course, show pictures to Kim Hines, ALG’s Director, of the wonderful locally grown creation cooked on the grill.  Instead of sharing my grilling pictures and stories with only Kim, we wanted a way for all of us to share them with each other.  So, feel free to post comments, or send me an email at with your pictures and recipes.  Let’s enjoy the journey and see where it takes us.

If you see me at an ALG event, you know I will always be receptive to a great conversation about grilled food.  So let’s get to Grillin’ n Chillin’.
