Dr. Steve Fountain and Tasha Alison, founders of Icebox Ministries & Icebox Urban Farm, moved to Scotland last year to continue their good-food work in Glasgow, UK. ¬†(Yes! We miss them too!!!) Throughout their journey, Steve & Tasha’s understanding of the gut micro world has only gotten deeper and more profound.

We are blessed to be able to feature this first-ever. long-distance session with them from afar. We’ll start with their video lecture called “Mood, Memory and Microbes,” by Dr. Fountain, who will help you make sense of the microbial connection between your brain and your gut. ¬†Throughout the lecture, you will be sampling a variety of probiotic fermented foods – lovingly prepared and presented by Chef Charleen Tinley – some made from local veggies, and some from local milk. After the lecture, we’ll Skype live with Steve and Tasha to hear about their international work, ask them questions about gut microbes and get guidance for further exploration. All net proceeds of this event benefit their ministry, which includes the continued support of Augusta Locally Grown’s programs at Icebox Urban Farm.
