The HUB provides a shared home for community organizations serving Harrisburg, Laney Walker, and the wider Augusta area. Augusta Locally Grown’s space includes a teaching kitchen, rentable commercial kitchen, greenhouse, community garden, vegetable prescription program, and the Veggie Park Farmers Market.
The HUB is a 33,000 square foot building to bring a synergistic community building effort to the Harrisburg and Laney Walker communities. It is through this HUB that ALG’s food access efforts will amplify. We are ever thankful for the $10 million donation announced by Augusta National Golf Club in November 2020 and gifted jointly with AT&T, Bank of America and IBM, and the endless hours that the CSRA Community Foundation has put together to organize this project.

Augusta Locally Grown
ALG connects neighbors with local food through the Veggie Park Farmers Market, online-market pickup, teaching and commercial kitchens, classes, gardens, and food-as-medicine programs.

RISE Augusta
RISE Augusta supports student success through literacy tutoring, school support, enrichment, and help with basic needs. Its HUB tutoring serves young readers after school.

Dr. Paulette P. Harris Literacy Center
Augusta University’s center offers free literacy instruction for children, adolescents, and adults. It also provides workshops and access to reading and writing resources.
